GCF IT Internship 2026 in South Korea | Fully Funded

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) invites applicants to apply for its IT Internship 2026, offering a six-month paid placement at its headquarters in Songdo, Incheon, Republic of Korea. This is a chance to gain hands-on experience in technology, digital transformation, and AI within the world’s largest dedicated multilateral climate fund, which supports climate action across developing countries.

Programme Overview

Selected interns receive comprehensive financial support, including a monthly stipend of US $1,600. Additionally, the programme covers round-trip international airfare and provides global health insurance coverage. You’ll work on-site at GCF Headquarters, contributing to IT project delivery, enterprise architecture, and emerging AI technologies. The internship can be extended to 12 months based on performance.

This internship offers practical exposure to:

  • Technology Business Partnering: Analysing business needs and identifying technology opportunities
  • IT Project and Portfolio Management: Supporting planning, tracking progress, and assessing risks
  • Digital Transformation: Contributing to enterprise applications and modernisation initiatives
  • Enterprise Architecture: Gaining hands-on experience in strategic technology infrastructure
  • AI and Automation: Leveraging generative AI, prompt engineering, and workflow automation
  • Data Analysis: Creating dashboards and actionable insights

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s programme in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. You should possess:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms
  • Interest in AI-enabled tools and digital productivity
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage
  • Enthusiasm for climate action and sustainable development
