Ghanaian music Producer Fred Kyei Mensah who is also referred to as Fredyma has called on Kelvynboy to humble himself if he wishes to blossom as a musician.
Speaking in an interview on Happy FM 98.9 FM, he denounced Kelvynboy’s action of walking out of the VGMAs after discovering that he lost the award he was expecting to win. Fredyma described the step he took as unprofessional and disrespectful especially to his colleague musicians.
The entertainment pundit went on to say that, what the dancehall act did is not portrayed on the international stage; therefore, he wondered why we do that on our local stage. He furthered that since Kelvynboy has disrespected DopeNation and other award winners in the auditorium, it could affect his future collaboration with them.
Fredyma admitted that Kelvynboy is a very good artiste who is capable of keeping the Ghanaian music industry alive. He also mentioned Kidi as one of the few artistes that could sustain the music industry. He went on to advice the sensational musician to be patient and wait for his time and that he will win his VGMA soon. The music producer asserted that DopeNation’s Zanku did very well. Based on that, he encouraged the musician to focus on promoting his songs.
During this year’s Vodafone Ghana music awards, Kelvynboy walked out of the auditorium after losing the Afro song of the year tittle to DopeNation. Many considered his action as rude and dishonorable
