POSITION: Business Development Executive 

NiBS University is revolutionizing business education in Africa. We are seeking an exceptional Business Development Executive to join our School of Executive Education and Development (SEED). This role is designed for a strategic partnership builder passionate about fostering organizational innovation and solving complex business challenges.

Role Overview: Executive Education & Corporate Partnerships

Based in Accra with regional travel, you will report directly to the Director of SEED. Your mission is to act as the primary ambassador of SEED to the corporate sector. You will transcend traditional sales by engaging Tier 1 organizations across banking, telecommunications, mining, and the public sector. Your core objective is to build co creation partnerships, utilizing the NiBS Practitioner Scholar model to address specific strategic hurdles for our clients.

Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas

Your work will be strategically divided between relationship building and digital engagement.

Strategic Outreach & Relationship Management (70% Focus)

  • Identify and proactively engage key decision makers, including CEOs, CHROs, and Strategy Heads in target organizations.
  • Execute a consultative engagement process centered on discovery and understanding client needs rather than standard product pitching.
  • Facilitate collaborative workshops with clients to design tailored executive education curricula that directly support their annual strategic targets.
  • Draft high level, ROI focused concept notes and business cases designed for C Suite review and approval.

Digital Literacy and Social Selling

  • Maintain a strong professional digital presence, sharing SEED research and insights to cultivate relationships before direct contact.
  • Utilize CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce to manage the extended sales cycle typical of corporate training engagements.
  • Leverage generative AI and other tools to research company reports and personalize outreach effectively at scale.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • We seek a seasoned professional with substantial business experience and academic credentials.
  • Hold a Master’s or Doctorate degree (PhD or DBA) in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • Possess a minimum of ten years of relevant business experience.
  • Have at least five years of direct experience in B2B sales, business development, management consulting, or corporate training.
  • Demonstrate the ability to articulate clear ROI and organizational transformation value to senior leaders.
  • Be a proponent of evidence based management and possess the executive presence to write proposals and present confidently to top executives.
