Job Title: Accounting Manager

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to become a key enabler of our mission in Ghana. This role ensures the financial discipline, compliance, and accuracy that underpin our life-saving operations and sustainable growth. You will safeguard our financial integrity, maintain strong controls, and ensure clean audits—building trust with regulators, partners, and the communities we serve every day.

What You’ll Do

As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the complete financial operations for our Ghana entity. Your core responsibilities will include:

First, you will manage all daily accounting activities, including the general ledger, bank reconciliations, expense management, and transaction recording in compliance with IFRS and local standards.
You will implement and strengthen robust internal control procedures to protect company assets and ensure audit readiness.
A primary duty involves leading the timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Furthermore, you will act as the main point of contact for all audits, preparing necessary schedules and ensuring statutory filings are completed accurately and on time.
You will also oversee accounts receivable, credit control, and collaborate with procurement to optimize payment cycles.
Additionally, you will ensure full tax compliance, managing all filings for VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, and withholding tax in line with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) guidelines.
You will analyze the monthly balance sheet and P&L statements, investigating variances and providing actionable insights to management.
Finally, you will prepare quarterly cash flow forecasts and work cross-functionally with HR, Operations, and Global Finance teams to support strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented finance leader with substantial local expertise:

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Five to seven years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (IFRS), and the month-end close process.
Excellent, practical knowledge of Ghanaian tax regulations, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and GRA compliance requirements.
Demonstrated experience with financial auditing and managing statutory audits.
High integrity, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
