Job Title: Credit Officers (Hybrid Role)

Job Description

Fruit Finance is a dynamic and fast-growing financial institution dedicated to empowering micro and small businesses through accessible credit solutions. To expand our team and strengthen our operations, we are recruiting disciplined and results-driven Credit Officers to join our Mallam Junction branch in Accra.

This hybrid role combines field engagement with analytical assessment, placing a strong emphasis on prudent lending and effective recovery. We seek professionals who can maintain portfolio health, enforce repayment discipline, and contribute directly to our mission of sustainable financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

As a Credit Officer, you will manage the complete loan lifecycle for a portfolio of clients:

Proactively identify and recruit qualified micro and small business clients in alignment with our lending policies.
Conduct thorough client assessments, field investigations, and financial appraisals to determine creditworthiness.
Mobilize and disburse loans efficiently while implementing rigorous follow-up procedures to ensure timely repayment.
Maintain strict portfolio quality by actively chasing delinquent accounts and executing recovery strategies to keep Portfolio at Risk (PAR) below 5%.
Provide clients with financial literacy education and promote the use of digital repayment channels to reduce default rates.
Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on disbursements, arrears, and recovery performance.

Your Profile and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

A minimum of one year of proven experience in microfinance credit operations, with a strong focus on loan recovery and portfolio management.
A Diploma or Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills for assessing client viability and effective negotiation abilities for recovery.
Demonstrated capacity to work under pressure, meet recovery targets, and control delinquency.
Excellent interpersonal and field collection skills.
