POSITION: Business Unit Operations Lead

What Actions Will You Take

The Operations Lead of the Business Unit is tasked with managing the daily performance, coherence, and effectiveness of all functional teams within the Business Unit. This encompasses the leadership of team leaders in customer engagement, document labelling, and product liaison roles. The position guarantees seamless collaboration throughout operations, tracks KPIs, and executes strategies to enhance product uptake, customer contentment, and internal procedural excellence. The individual will also be tasked with managing the implementation of partnership agreements, which encompasses data sharing procedures, execution of market entry strategies, and coordination of internal resources to fulfill partnership commitments.

  • Guide and oversee Team Leads for Customer Engagement and Document Labelling positions.
  • Establish and track operational KPIs to guarantee that performance goals are achieved or surpassed.
  • Examine weekly performance dashboards and implement corrective action plans as needed.
  • Make certain that every team is ready for new product releases and continuous updates.
  • Oversee the implementation of partnership contracts, incorporating data sharing processes and market-entry strategies.
  • Act as the escalation contact for operational issues within the Business Unit.
  • Promote ongoing enhancement initiatives throughout all BU processes.

Key Metrics for Performance Evaluation (KPIs): 

  • Team KPI Success Rate: No less than 90% of teams managed by BU Ops Lead achieve monthly KPIs.
  • Escalation Resolution Time: 95% of internal escalations settled within 48 hours
  • Operational Reporting Timeliness: Deliver the monthly BU report to the Head of Business Unit by the 3rd business day of each month.
  • Team Sync Frequency: Conduct a minimum of 1 organized sync weekly with all direct reports.
  • Product Launch Preparedness Score: Attain complete readiness (training, processes, tools) prior to product launch.
  • Partnership Implementation Milestones: All operational partnership deliverables (data exchange, go-to-market, reporting) completed within specified deadlines.
  • Process Enhancement Projects: Spearhead or participate in a minimum of 1 operational enhancement project each quarter.

Who You Are 

  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in managing operations, ideally in a tech-focused environment or across a multifunctional business unit.
  • Robust leadership abilities demonstrated by a history of guiding and nurturing high-achieving teams.
  • Shown capability to establish, monitor, and accomplish KPIs across various functions.
  • Experience in managing collaborative initiatives across departments, such as product launches and partnership implementations.
  • Outstanding analytical and decision-making abilities; at ease being a point of escalation.
  • Proficient in procedure planning, performance analysis, and process enhancement.
  • Robust project management abilities with the capacity to handle several priorities at the same time.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Meticulous, very methodical, and proactive in fostering ongoing enhancement.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with changing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a similar discipline (MBA is advantageous)
