Role Overview
As Finance and Administration Manager, you will oversee all financial operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and administrative effectiveness. You will develop financial strategies, manage corporate assets, and implement robust systems that support sustainable business growth. This position demands both strategic financial acumen and practical operational management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Direct comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
- Oversee payroll processing, invoicing, and bank transfer operations
- Manage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns including SSNIT, VAT, and NHIL
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes
- Maintain compliance with Ghanaian tax laws and financial regulations
- Submit annual financial reports to regulatory authorities
Administrative Leadership & Asset Protection
- Develop and implement effective administrative policies and procedures
- Safeguard corporate assets through robust control systems
- Manage administrative staff and operational workflows
- Optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency
Systems & Process Improvement
- Utilize ERP systems (Syspro/SAP preferred) for financial management
- Implement advanced Excel solutions for data analysis and reporting
- Streamline financial and administrative processes
- Enhance internal controls and risk management frameworks
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional certification (ICA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 7 years in accounting/finance with 3+ years in management
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws and regulations
Technical Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Syspro or SAP
- Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities
- Expertise in statutory compliance and audit management
