Ecobank Ghana Latest Job Recruitment

Job Title: BCM Coordinator

Do you thrive on pressure? Are you the person who sees the cracks before the dam breaks? If you possess a rare mix of strategic foresight and crisis management nerves, then Ecobank Transnational Incorporated wants you on their team.

Ecobank, a titan in the African financial sector, is searching for a sharp and proactive BCM Coordinator to join their operation in Accra. This is not a back-office desk job. Instead, it is a frontline role in defense. You will become the architect of resilience, ensuring that when chaos hits, the bank keeps running and the customers never notice a thing.

If you love solving puzzles before they become problems, this is your calling.

Your Role: The Guardian of Operations

As the Affiliate BCM Coordinator, you will not wait for disasters to strike. Instead, you will anticipate them. Your mission is to identify risks, build robust plans, and lead the charge when things go wrong. Ultimately, you will safeguard the bank’s reputation, financial stability, and operational soul.

Here is what you will actually do:

  • Build the Framework: You will lead and maintain the Business Continuity Management framework. Consequently, you will ensure full alignment with ISO 22301 standards through regular assessments and audits.
  • Analyze the Impact: You will conduct thorough Business Impact Analyses (BIA). This means evaluating potential disruptions, prioritizing critical operations, and determining exactly what it takes to keep the bank alive during a crisis.
  • Hunt the Risks: Proactively, you will identify risks before they escalate. Moreover, you will assess third-party vendors and critical service providers to ensure their resilience matches your own high standards.
  • Test the Plans: You will design, execute, and evaluate Business Continuity Plan tests and call tree drills. After all, a plan is only as good as its execution. You will ensure everyone knows their role in a disaster.
  • Lead in Crisis: When things go south, you will step up. You will manage crisis situations, coordinate with local and Group Crisis Management Teams, and execute recovery strategies that minimize financial loss.
  • Train the Troops: You will coordinate BCM awareness sessions and training for key personnel. Therefore, when a real event occurs, no one will freeze—they will act.
  • Track and Improve: You will monitor BCM metrics, track audit findings, and close compliance gaps. Then, using lessons learned, you will continuously improve the framework to stay ahead of threats.
  • Manage the Tech: Beyond BCM, you will support the Corporate Security Unit. Specifically, you will oversee the quarterly maintenance of Access Control Systems and CCTV equipment bank-wide. Additionally, you will ensure 90% of complaints from branches get resolution within 48 hours in Accra or 36 hours elsewhere.
  • Report the Risks: Finally, you will complete quarterly Risk and Control Self-Assessments on the accelerate GRC platform, keeping everything transparent and accountable.

What Success Looks Like: The KPIs

Ecobank measures success by results, not effort. Here is the bar they expect you to clear:

  • BIA Completion: Ensure 100% of business units submit up-to-date Business Impact Analysis reports by the end of Q2.
  • Speed in Crisis: Execute 100% of recovery actions for critical services within 2 hours of detecting a crisis.
  • Test Success: Achieve a 100% success rate in annual BCP tests and call tree drills, followed by detailed reports on outcomes.
  • Compliance Mastery: Maintain 100% compliance with ISO 22301 standards and keep all internal policies updated.
  • Training Goals: Ensure 100% of key personnel and CMT members complete their BCM training annually.
  • Audit Remediation: Resolve 80% of audit findings within the required deadlines.
  • Vendor Checks: Complete 100% of resilience assessments for all critical service providers.
  • Reporting Accuracy: Deliver 100% accurate BCM metric reports within 5 business days of any request.

Skills and Experience

You need a strong foundation to handle this level of responsibility. Therefore, here is what you must bring:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Security, or a related field. A Master’s degree will give you an edge.
  • Certifications: Professional credentials like CBCP or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer are highly preferred.
  • Experience: You have at least 5 years under your belt in Business Continuity, Risk Management, or Crisis Management. Experience in the financial sector is a massive plus.
  • Technical Know-How: You understand ISO 22301 standards inside and out. You know risk assessment methodologies and BCM best practices. Proficiency with BCM tools and software will set you apart.

Ready to Build Resilience?

This is more than a job. It is a chance to become the backbone of one of Africa’s largest financial institutions. If you are ready to protect, plan, and perform under pressure, do not wait.
