DV Lottery 2025 Application Requirements
To enter the DV 2025 immigration visa program, you must meet at least one of the two requirements.
First, have a US High School certificate or its equivalence
- To qualify for the DV 2025 lottery, an applicant must have completed a US High School degree or a foreign equivalent of the US High School Degree. This means the successful completion of at least 12-year elementary and secondary education courses in the US.
- However, passing a high school equivalency exam is not sufficient. Nevertheless, successful completion of a formal primary and secondary education course equivalent to finishing a 12-year education in the US is required.
- It is, however, permissible to have completed education in less than 12 years, or greater than 12 years if the course of study is equivalent to a US High School Degree.
Second, have worked for at least 2 years in specific occupations
Also, a candidate must have held employment in at least one of these occupations in order to be eligible for the DV 2025 Lottery. This should, however, be for at least 2 years within the last 5 years.

However, aside from the above-mentioned occupations, other similar jobs are also acceptable.
Also, applicants should not submit proof that they satisfy these requirements when registering for the DV 2025 lottery. A consular officer requires proof when the applicant formally applies for a permanent residence visa.
Notably, if you do not meet these two requirements, you should not apply for the DV 2025 lottery as you will get disqualified if you do.
You must also, provide proof of your education, work experience, and country of birth after you are selected.
