Canada PNP 2024 Paused!! Latest Changes to Canada PR 2024 | Canada Immigration

One of the most important routes for qualified people wishing to relocate to Canada is the New Brunswick Express Entry stream. This stream, which is a part of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program, aims to draw people with the qualifications and expertise necessary to boost the province’s economy.

Through the Federal Express Entry system, this stream offers a quick path to permanent residency in Canada for professionals in high-demand fields or those with ties to New Brunswick.

This blog post will discuss the requirements for eligibility, the application procedure, and the advantages of using the New Brunswick Express Entry stream to start a new life in one of the friendliest provinces in Canada.

Introduction

New Brunswick’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stated on August 16 that it will no longer be issuing Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under the New Brunswick Express Entry category. The province claims that all of the ITAs allotted to candidates in this stream have already been used. New Brunswick has not released their 2024 allocation figures to the public.

Applications that were completed and sent by Friday, August 16, 2024, will still be processed, according to the province. Additionally, candidates are still welcome to submit their complete nomination application if they acquire an ITA before this deadline.

New Brunswick Express Entry

Three streams fall under the Express Entry category for New Brunswick. All applicants must be in the federal Express Entry application pool via the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Experience Class, or the Federal Skilled Trades Program. The qualifying requirements for each of these streams vary.

The NB Employment Connection is intended for people who have been in the province for a minimum of six months, are employed full-time, or have received a full-time job offer from a New Brunswick business.

International students participating in programs eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) from any of the approved schools in New Brunswick can connect through the NB Student Connection. If applicants can show they have the experience necessary to satisfy the demands of the province’s labor market, they may be sent a letter of interest under the NB Priorities Connection stream.

Other Ways to Apply to the NB PNP

Over the past few years, New Brunswick has become a more popular location for newcomers. According to data from the Census of 2021, 10,855 (1.4%) and 44,125 (5.8%) of the population were non-permanent residents and foreign-born immigrants, respectively. The number of immigrants is almost twice as high as it was ten years ago (28,465 in 2011).

This year, there has been a great deal of attention on New Brunswick’s PNP. The province announced on May 17 that the New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream will no longer be accepting Expressions of Interest. The province claims that the hiatus will facilitate the immigration department’s management of the sizable pool of applicants.

It is advised that newcomers confirm their eligibility for the Atlantic Immigration Program before applying to this stream.

Applying for one of the remaining streams, such as the New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream, may be possible for those who still wish to move to New Brunswick through the PNP. This is directed towards talented French-speaking professionals who declare themselves prepared to settle down and work in New Brunswick long-term.

They might also have a look at the Critical Worker Pilot Program in New Brunswick. Introduced in November 2022, this employer-driven stream aims to fill critical labor shortages in some of the province’s most important industries with competent individuals. Under the Pilot program, candidates must apply to one of six designated employers, who will subsequently submit an application on their behalf to the provincial government.
