Canada Express Entry 2023: BCPNP, OINP, MPNP – New Latest Draw Update | IRCC
The most recent PNP draw results and candidate nominations come from Ontario, British Columbia, and New Brunswick. This week, the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) has received nominations from three Canadian provinces.
Provincial governments put forward individuals who have the best chance of integrating into the province’s labor force and establishing themselves economically. Except for Quebec and Nunavut, most provinces and territories have PNP draws that prioritize applicants with particular professions like healthcare, technology, and skilled crafts. As a result, areas can target applicants who can meet their region’s labor needs.
Similar to this, the federal government will shortly start hosting Express Entry draws in upcoming category-based selection draws for particular occupations and French language proficiency through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) will automatically award the PNP candidate with an additional 600 points if they are in the express entry pool and get a provincial nomination. They have a far higher chance of receiving an invitation to apply as a result.
Candidates for economic immigration who are not part of an Express entry program may nonetheless apply for provincial nomination. This could improve their total application for permanent residence.
PNP Nomination vs Permanent Residency
Being nominated is not precisely the same as getting permanent resident status. Even if they have received a provincial nomination, candidates must still apply to the IRCC independently. This is because both the provincial and federal governments share responsibility for immigration.
Provincial Immigration Results (June 17th to 22nd)
Ontario
Per the employer job offer stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), Ontario welcomed 1,000 applicants via three draws on June 20.
- Candidates who had job offers in the employer job offer foreign worker stream were drawn first. With a score of 36 or higher and prior experience in a skilled trade, the Province invited 426 applicants.
- The second draw involved 318 foreign immigrants who had been offered jobs in the healthcare industry. Candidates needed at least a 33 to qualify for this draw.
- In a general draw held after the business made job offers to 256 individuals, the final draw selected them. Candidates for the in-demand skill stream required a minimum score of 26.
British Columbia
On June 20th, four targeted drawings were held in British Columbia for applicants to the BNPNP’s skilled worker and international graduate streams, including Express entry applicants. Over 144 candidates received invitations in all.
A total of 107 individuals with IT jobs were the focus of the biggest draw. The Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) had a minimum cut-off score of 90. SIRS is comparable to the Express Entry CRS score, except it only applies to BCPNP applicants.
The remaining three draws had a focus on less than five candidates in other high-demand occupations, 18 early childhood educators and assistants, and 19 candidates in the healthcare industry. Each draw requires candidates to have a minimum score of 60.
New Brunswick
The monthly Express entry draw results for New Brunswick currently published. According to the Province, it invited 93 Express entry applicants from three streams in total over the month of May. This comprised 62 up to this point in the vocations and demand link, 10 in the NB student connection, and 21 in the NB employment connection.
This year, New Brunswick submits 509 applicants for Express admission from the province. With 186 candidates invited, March of 2023 was the busiest month yet. However, this happened because in March, also the busiest month for Federal Express entry lotteries, 21,667 applicants from throughout Canada received invitations.
