POSITION: West Africa Sales Manager 

Baker Hughes is a global energy technology company providing innovative solutions worldwide. We are currently seeking a West Africa Sales Manager for Gas Tech Equipment to drive growth across key markets, including Senegal, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, and Mauritania.

As the Sales Manager, you will be accountable for growing Gas Tech Equipment orders within your assigned competency area. Your primary objectives are maximizing profitability, increasing market share, and executing the company’s strategic vision. You will work closely with customers and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partners to strengthen relationships and drive commercial success. This role requires deep sales process experience, excellence in lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will act as a strategic commercial leader for the region.

  • Grow Gas Tech Equipment orders by hitting the annual orders plan with assigned customers, securing profitable business.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and acting as a trusted partner.
  • Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our product and service offerings.
  • Maximize the competitiveness of Baker Hughes solutions to achieve the target market share aligned with the company strategy.
  • Foster the commercialization of new products and technologies in close coordination with the Strategy & Growth team.
  • Contribute to the annual budget forecast to meet regional sales objectives.
  • Identify emerging market trends and shifts while maintaining full awareness of competitor activities and new product developments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To be successful, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in Engineering.

  • Have a minimum of five additional years of direct sales experience within the Oil & Gas market.
  • Be fluent in both English and French, in oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrate the capability to engage, influence, and drive consensus among multiple external and internal stakeholders.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively on your own initiative.
  • Possess excellent presentation skills and be willing to travel extensively for the role.
