Job Title: ICT Expert
Responsibilities
The ICT-Expert
• Ensures all IT related issues are rectified or solved in the office.
• Ensures internet connection is stabilized in the office
Tasks & Description of the Assignment
The ICT Expert performs the following tasks
• Responsible for managing the Digital Library server, especially its security and the functionality of the installed programs
• Downloads and installs database programs, such as PostgreSQL/Postgis, Solar, Geoservers and mapping clients
• Creates monthly reports on the server status – User log, problems, and maintenance
• Supports the development of clients to search the index
Qualifications
• Minimum of masters or equivalent degree in ICT
• At least 5 years of work experience in managing an internet server, especially in problem solving, process improvement and requirement analysis
• Well experienced in working with Ubuntu as OS of the server
• Spirit of the initiative, autonomy, excellent interpersonal relations and the ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Sensitivity in handling and disposing of important documents
• Demonstrated competency in installing, maintaining and updating software
• Basic knowledge of SQL and NOSQL databases
• Experience in program PHP and the creation of webpages
• Knowledge of standard Javascript frameworks for interactive webpage creation will be advantageous
• Previous experience in working with government entities is an asset
