Applications are open for the AI Governance Taskforce Autumn 2026 cohort. This program helps professionals transition into frontier AI governance careers. Participants build credentials while researching catastrophic risks from advanced AI. The role runs remotely and fits alongside existing work commitments. Importantly, this position is voluntary and offers no pay.

How the Program Works

Research Associates join four-person multidisciplinary teams. Each team works under a Research Team Leader’s direction. Expert partners from major AI safety organizations guide the research. These include AISI, GovAI, SaferAI, and the Future of Life Institute. Teams produce policy papers, briefs, and stakeholder-facing articles.

Who Should Apply
