Advocacy and Engagement Fellowship 2026/27
Applications are open for a funded Advocacy and Engagement Fellowship. The UK-Ireland Digital Humanities Association is seeking one fellow. This year’s theme centers on openness and transparency. The fellow will help shape the Association’s advocacy strategy. They’ll work closely with leadership and support staff. This role runs part-time over twelve months starting October 2026.
Program Snapshot
- Duration: 12 months, beginning October 2026

- Location: UK or Ireland residency required

Fellowship Focus Areas
- Cross-sector collaboration with non-university organizations
- Digital Humanities advocacy at national policy levels
- Best-practice tools for cross-sector partnerships
- Improving public access to digital scholarship
- Building a policy-ready value proposition for the field
What the Fellow Will Do
- Research Digital Humanities landscapes across Ireland and the UK
- Engage stakeholders through interviews or focus groups
- Lead a workshop at an Association in-person event
- Develop value propositions from research and engagement work
- Contribute to community discussions on openness and transparency
Financial Benefits
- £4,000 stipend, paid across three installments
- £1,000 additional budget for travel or event costs
- Possible extra funding for attending key DH events
Who Can Apply
- Must reside in the UK or Ireland
- Should have research experience in Digital Humanities
- Open to researchers, practitioners, and GLAM professionals
- Underrepresented candidates in the field are encouraged
- Joint applications from two people are welcome

- A 1,000-word project proposal
- A 500-word implementation plan
- A letter of support, if applicable
