POSITION: Team Lead

Plato Consult is recruiting a technical Team Lead on behalf of our client in the telecommunications sector. The successful candidate will provide essential technical support and coordination, ensuring the completion of planned maintenance schedules and the efficient management of materials and logistics. Your primary objective is to uphold daily operational commitments to customers and perform all assigned preventive maintenance tasks. This role reports directly to the Regional Team Manager.

Job Purpose and Core Focus

You will act as a key support to the Regional Team Manager, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) for fixed access service delivery and maintenance are consistently met. Your work will involve hands-on technical support, team leadership, and logistical coordination to maintain high network reliability and customer satisfaction.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Your duties will blend technical execution, team guidance, and customer service escalation.

Provide direct support to the Regional Team Manager in meeting fixed access service delivery and maintenance SLAs with customers.
Assist in completing complex installations, with a focus on the latest digital and IP-based technologies.
Proactively seek and act on customer feedback regarding the fixed access network, escalating critical issues to the Regional Team Manager for prompt resolution.
Support the testing and configuration of customer-end equipment, including line drivers, modems, and routers.
Ensure all fieldwork and technical activities strictly comply with the organization’s health and safety requirements.
Assist in managing all related logistics, materials, and scheduling to optimize team efficiency.
Support incident management scheduling to effectively handle customer issues and align with service expectations.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates must hold an HND in Electronics, Electrical Communications Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
Possess a minimum of three years of working experience in a related technical field, or at least five years of experience as a Fixed Services Customer Service Engineer, or a combination of both.
Must have a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license, and demonstrated proficiency in driving.
Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team and customer interaction.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
Have the capacity to lead a team effectively, showing performance-driven and goal-oriented leadership.
Possess solid technical skills relevant to fixed access networks and telecommunications infrastructure.
