POSITION: Financial Manager
Concept Make It Happen (CMIH) is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our leadership team. This pivotal role involves analyzing daily financial activities and providing strategic advice to management, enabling sound business decisions and the achievement of company objectives. You will be instrumental in ensuring financial health, regulatory compliance, and guiding future growth strategies.
Job Description and Core Responsibilities
You will lead our financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning to support sustainable business growth.
- Lead all efforts to meet statutory and regulatory requirements, ensuring full compliance.
- Prepare and interpret weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for managerial staff, recommending actionable insights.
- Ensure timely monthly payment of all SSNIT and Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) liabilities.
- Manage trial balances, financial statements, and comprehensive management accounts.
- Lead the preparation and response for tax audit processes and reporting.
- Analyze costs, pricing, and sales results, comparing actual performance against business plans.
- Develop financial trends, projections, and identify cost reduction opportunities across the business.
- Oversee the finance department’s operations, setting clear goals and designing frameworks for success.
- Manage the company’s budgeting process and liaise with external auditors to ensure rigorous financial monitoring.
- Devise strategies to manage financial leakages and provide guidance on investment activities and diversification.
- Create effective invoicing strategies that account for industry-specific tax structures and manage client payments post-project execution.
Internal and Administrative Duties
You will also oversee critical internal financial operations related to our team.
- Manage accurate payroll records and maintain detailed staff compensation and benefits information.
- Prepare and file the employer’s annual returns and generate PAYE payment receipts.
- Help manage the status of the employee’s pension or Provident Fund scheme.
