Our Plumbing Division specializes in the installation, maintenance, and design of water supply, sanitation, gas, and drainage systems. In partnership with IPES Ghana, a leading technical education provider, we are committed to workforce development. We are seeking a mid to senior-level Plumber who is equally passionate about hands-on technical work and mentoring the next generation of professionals.

Job Location and Details

This is a full-time, on-site position based at School Junction, Ashaley Botwe, Accra (search CETECH Ghana on Google Maps). Salary is negotiable and depends on your experience and relevant skill sets.

Key Responsibilities

This unique dual role splits responsibilities between technical project execution and structured training delivery.

Technical and Project Work for CETECH Ghana:

Perform and supervise plumbing installations for water supply, drainage, and gas systems across various projects.
Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance for residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Collaborate on projects requiring system design, pipe sizing, fixture layout, and CAD based planning.
Ensure all work complies with the Ghana Plumbing Code, building regulations, and safety standards.
Work within project teams to complete installations on time and within budget while mentoring junior technicians.

Teaching and Training for IPES Ghana:

Deliver structured training programs ranging from three to twenty-four months in key plumbing disciplines.
Prepare lesson plans, workshop demonstrations, and student assessments in a safety-first environment.
Instruct students using real tools and equipment, providing practical feedback for skills improvement.
Support curriculum updates aligned with TVET and national regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

A TVET HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
Eight or more years of hands-on plumbing experience across residential, commercial, or gas systems.
One to two years of teaching, training, or formal mentorship experience.
Deep understanding of water systems, drainage, sanitary installations, and piping layout.
Competence in reading blueprints, interpreting schematics, and applying Ghana’s plumbing codes.

Preferred:

Experience with CAD software for plumbing design, such as AutoCAD or Revit MEP.
Certification in gas plumbing or experience with LPG and natural gas systems.
Prior involvement with TVET institutions, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire students.
