The Tax Advisor role blends tax advisory, client relationship management, and business development. Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking tax and compliance services
Conduct consultations to assess client tax situations and recommend appropriate solutions
Promote and sell tax preparation, payroll tax, planning, and advisory services
Build and maintain long-term client relationships and manage a personal client portfolio
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services
Coordinate with internal tax professionals to ensure smooth service delivery
Assist clients with understanding deadlines, compliance requirements, and documentation
Maintain accurate client records, reports, and sales activity documentation
Collaborate with tax, accounting, and sales teams to improve service quality and performance

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred)
At least 1 year of experience preparing individual and corporate tax returns
At least 6 months of experience in payroll processing
Proven experience handling multiple tax returns annually in a professional environment
Strong knowledge of U.S. tax compliance, basic accounting principles, and tax software
Excellent communication, client service, and sales skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple clients simultaneously
Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is an advantage, but not mandatory
Eligible for or requiring H-1B visa sponsorship to work in the United States
