Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment and Retention

• Promote the Brand: Engage with the public and represent the company at job fairs.
• Manage Hiring Processes: Post job openings, conduct interviews, and finalize hiring procedures.
• Develop Strategies: Enhance recruitment and retention strategies proactively.
• Conduct Surveys: Implement retention programs to reduce employee turnover.
• Understand Immigration Regulations: Assist employers in retaining employees with valid work permits.

Performance Management

• Oversee Absenteeism: Manage the hotline to monitor attendance and performance.
• Facilitate Training: Supervise internal training initiatives for team development.
• Conduct Performance Reviews: Compile and present evaluations throughout the year.
• Monitor Onboarding: Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires.

Culture and Events

• Organize Events: Participate in and oversee business events that enhance company culture.

• Manage HRIS: Oversee the Human Resource Information System (BambooHR).

Qualifications

• Education: A BCOM or BBA degree in human resource management or labor relations.
• Experience: At least five years in human resources, with a focus on labor relations.
• Bargaining Proficiency: Experience as a second chair in negotiation cycles.
• Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of British Columbia’s labor and employment laws.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and HRIS (BambooHR).
