Job Responsibilities

The Telecommunications Equipment Technician will be responsible for various tasks, including:

• Diagnosing and locating faults in telecommunications equipment.
• Inspecting the operation of telecommunications systems.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining telephone equipment and wiring.
• Repairing or replacing defective telephone equipment.
• Testing installed telephone systems to identify transmission faults.
• Analyzing test results and adjusting or repairing the switching system and related equipment.
• Completing and maintaining test and service reports.
• Determining the nature, cause, and location of any troubles.
• Installing electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems in telecommunications centers.

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Language: Must be fluent in English.
• Education: Must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: At least 7 months to less than 1 year in the relevant industry is preferred.
