Job Title: Driver

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced, disciplined, and responsible individuals to join our fleet as Drivers. Based in Accra, this role is central to our daily operations, ensuring the safe and prompt delivery of goods. You will be a key representative of our brand on the road, directly contributing to our reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Driver with Skynet Express, you will handle a variety of operational duties essential to our service delivery. Your core responsibilities will include:

First, you will safely operate company trucks and vehicles to transport goods to their designated destinations across assigned routes.
You will ensure the timely pickup and delivery of all shipments, strictly adhering to company schedules and customer commitments.
A fundamental duty involves following all road traffic laws, safety regulations, and internal company policies without exception.
Furthermore, you will perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
You will also assist with the careful loading and unloading of goods to prevent damage and ensure efficiency.
Additionally, you will maintain accurate delivery logs, waybills, and submit all required reports on time.
You will provide professional, courteous service during customer interactions at delivery points.
Finally, you will perform any other related duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record in logistics driving:

A minimum educational qualification of SHS Graduate.

At least 12 years of verifiable driving experience, with a strong preference for truck driving or logistics delivery operations.
A valid Ghanaian driving license Class C & D.
Candidates must be between 37 and 48 years of age.
Extensive, practical knowledge of Accra road networks and experience driving in other regions of Ghana.
A solid understanding of traffic regulations and road safety best practices.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.

Skills & Competencies

A strong sense of responsibility, safety consciousness, and professional integrity.
Excellent time management skills, punctuality, and unwavering reliability.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Careful and efficient handling of goods.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is an added advantage.
