India Visa-on-Arrival for Japan, South Korea, and UAE Nationals in 2024

India has made significant advancements in foreign travel by granting visas on arrival to citizens of the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, and Japan. This program seeks to expedite the visa application process and increase tourism, in conjunction with the expansion of e-visa access to 167 countries.

Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that citizens of the UAE, South Korea, and Japan can now use India’s Visa-on-Arrival service to facilitate travel and tourism. This declaration was given on Monday in response to the Lok Sabha.

This Visa-on-Arrival option permits a stay of up to 60 days with double entry privileges and is offered for a variety of objectives, including business, conferences, tourist, and medical visits. The purpose of this facility’s implementation is to streamline the visa application procedure and increase the convenience of travel to India for nationals of these nations.

Approved Airports for Visa-on-Arrival

Six international airports in India have been designated to accept the Visa-on-Arrival facility. This calculated action aims to improve foreign travelers’ overall travel experience by offering more convenience and flexibility.

Passengers from South Korea, Japan, and the UAE can easily enter India through the designated airports without requiring prior visa arrangements.

Extended 167-Country E-Visa Capability

The Ministry of Tourism has greatly increased the e-visa service in addition to Visa-on-Arrival. Nationals of 167 nations can now obtain the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). This extended e-visa allows entry into India through six major seaports and 30 recognized international airports.

The expansion of the e-Visa program is a significant improvement to India’s efforts to attract foreign visitors. India hopes to draw more tourists from all parts of the globe by providing a more convenient and approachable visa application process.

Conclusion

India is committed to becoming a top vacation destination, as seen by its efforts to streamline the visa application process and improve visitor safety and assistance. An important step in increasing international traveler accessibility to India has been taken with the launch of the Visa-on-Arrival program for citizens of South Korea, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the expansion of e-Visa availability.
