Duties of Bereavement Midwife Jobs in the UK

Responsibilities for Bereavement Midwife Jobs in the UK

  • Maintain the highest possible level of quality bereavement care coordination across the care pathway.
  • Uses data to collaborate with medical personnel on the creation of presentations for the monthly perinatal meeting.
  • Collaborates with mortuary professionals to arrange and prepare infants for viewing by family members.
  • Consistent use of reporting systems like Every Baby Counts, PMRT, MBRRACE, and online CDOP forms.
  • Collaborate with the audit department and medical personnel to monitor clinical governance outcomes and standards, as well as participate in the audit and research trial processes to improve clinical efficacy.
  • As appropriate, actively explore evidence-based methods to improve clinical outcomes.

  • Practice assessor and post-registration teaching qualification (e.g., 998 or mentoring course)

Desirable

  • Relevant specialty training or qualification at diploma level, or equivalent experience
  • Study at the postgraduate level or are willing to pursue
  • Qualifications in leadership or administration
  • A counseling qualification or a willingness to pursue it
