Patriots Ghana is seeking a Project Coordinator for our Women Entrepreneurs Financial Literacy Initiative (WEFLI) in the Central of Ghana. Patriots Ghana is a team of dedicated and passionate professionals who strive to unite all passionate and patriotic Ghanaian citizens as well as foreign nationals and organizations, and empower them to undertake meaningful projects in areas of Health, Education, Human Rights, Research and Advocacy and Economic development, in order to improve the lives of the less privileged Ghanaian citizens and deprived communities.
As part of our mission to promote equitable financial and social freedom for women in Ghana, we are seeking to recruit a passionate Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team to facilitate this plan. This position also aims to develop the capacity of the successful candidate.
Scope of Work:
The Project Coordinator will report directly to the National Projects Director, to organize a series of project activities geared towards the full implementation of a new strategic plan on the Patriots Ghana Microfinance Project. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders onsite and online to leverage past experiences from the project to implement our program in a newly identified community. The Project Coordinator will be highly skilled in effective communication, adaptive management, research, monitoring, and evaluation. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a new initiative that will scale up women empowerment in Ghana.
Responsibilities
- Lead the local team to carryout feasibility studies in specified communities
- Conduct baseline research in selected communities who may potentially receive support from the Patriots Ghana’s WEFLI
- Represent Patriots Ghana at various local community stakeholder meetings and events and Cultivate relationships with key local top-level decision-makers in selected communities.
- Collaborate with the local project team to conduct demand-driven workshops on bookkeeping, budgeting, business plans, digital financial services, savings etc.
- Work with team to develop project evaluation and make recommendations for project improvement.
- Facilitate the development of fundraising strategies and participate in fundraising activities with the team to support more women in Agriculture.
- Prepare project, progress and financial reports and assist National Projects Manager with donor reports
Qualifications
- Professional experience working in community development, NGO’s and rural communities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and intercultural awareness — position will require communication across multiple cultures and backgrounds
- Experience using agile methodologies for research and projects
- The creativity and flexibility to work in an environment with limited resources and to work independently and within a team to drive projects forward with minimal supervision
- Knowledge and Experience in business/entrepreneurship-related field is advantageous but not required.
- Good writing/reporting and communication skills
- Working knowledge of ICT and digital technologies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Relevant experience in capacity-building activities and working with communities, NGOs and public sector agencies.

Remuneration
GHS 800 to GHS1000, based on skills, experience and current salary.
