Job Title: Principal Security Officer

Position

We are currently seeking an experienced and capable Principal Security Officer to lead our campus security operations. This senior role requires a strategic leader with proven experience in personnel management, risk assessment, and the development of effective security protocols within an institutional setting.

Role Overview

As the Principal Security Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of campus security. You will design and implement security strategies, manage a team of security personnel, and collaborate with university administration to ensure the safety of students, staff, and university assets. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining a secure and orderly campus environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and review comprehensive security policies and emergency response plans.
Lead, supervise, and schedule a team of security officers, ensuring high performance and professional conduct.
Coordinate daily security operations across the university campus and affiliated properties.
Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify and mitigate potential threats.
Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services to foster collaborative relationships.
Manage security-related incidents, conduct investigations, and prepare detailed reports for university management.
Organize training programs for security staff on protocol, conflict resolution, and crisis management.
Monitor and maintain security systems, including surveillance and access control infrastructure.

Your Profile and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Psychology, Sociology, Security Studies, or a related field.
A minimum of four years of post-qualification professional experience.
At least five years of direct experience in a senior security officer role, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
Clear, documented evidence of ability to organize, train, and control a team of security personnel.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
