Footprints Africa is piloting a new approach to advance the inclusive development of African economies, in particular looking at the role of the private sector in the environment and community.
Starting with 2 sectors in Ghana, Catering and Industrial Waste Management, we are championing business as a force for good and trialing new business models that exemplify this. Simultaneously we are exploring how to drive that positive change at a sector level, based on principles of Circular Economy.
About the job
Role Specification: Delivery Partner
Location: Accra, Ghana
This is an essential role to support the smooth running of our B Corp program, ensuring all aspects reinforce what we stand for. You will support SMEs through knowledge share and handhold them
- Support SMEs to improve their social and environmental impact while developing more resilient business practices through the B Impact Assessment platform
- Support SMEs to create action plans for identified key areas in the BIA where they can make a real impact
- Explore challenges of SMEs regarding social and environmental performance and support the most effective solutions to address these
- Mentor B Champions in SMEs to feel empowered to be change-makers in their companies
- Attend workshops and support B Champions to organize internal workshops
- Support SMEs to implement identified changes

With Experience/Skills in
- Leading or coordinating a team, either within an organization or a project, where you have been responsive and adapted activities in order to achieve the project’s objectives
- Professional experience in Business
Development
- A passion to make a difference and examples where you have gone against perceived wisdom or the status quo to enable that change
It would be a bonus if you have:
- Experience with B-Corp Accreditation
- Worked directly with social enterprises
- Experience facilitating events that support participants to determine their own transformation (rather than traditional training that is designed as a simple transfer of information, which is the opposite of our approach)
- Experience with online productivity tools like Zoom, Google Drive etc.
Budget
A maximum of GH₵24,050 to handhold 2 SMEs for a duration of 6 months
