Study in Europe | Mundus Journalism Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2026-2028

The Mundus Journalism Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for 2026 to 2028 gives you the chance to turn a love for storytelling into an international journalism career. The journey covers vibrant media cities such as Aarhus, Amsterdam, London, Munich, and Prague, where you learn, explore, and build a powerful global network.

Begin Your Journalism Career on a Global Stage

Picture this. You start your master’s degree in Denmark, studying media, democracy, and global communication with classmates from every region of the world. Soon after, you continue your studies in London, Amsterdam, Munich, or Prague. Every city strengthens a different part of your skill set, from political reporting to digital storytelling.

Mundus Journalism is not a regular master’s program. It is a joint Erasmus Mundus initiative that recently received new funding for another five years. Each intake offers around ten to fifteen scholarships. This renewed support signals strong programme growth and gives motivated applicants an important chance to join.

A Fully Funded Opportunity That Frees You to Learn

The Erasmus Mundus scholarship through Mundus Journalism removes the biggest study abroad worry: money. It allows you to learn without struggling to manage rent or fees.

The scholarship usually provides:

  • Complete tuition fee support for the full two-year programme
  • A monthly living allowance
  • Travel support and setup funds
  • Insurance for the duration of the programme

With funding in place, you gain time to focus on your craft, produce stronger stories, and develop a professional portfolio that stands out.

Five Cities, One International Learning Community

Modern journalism works across borders, cultures, and viewpoints. This programme reflects that reality by placing students in five major media cities: Aarhus, Amsterdam, London, Munich, and Prague. You begin in Denmark, then move to your chosen specialization track in the second year.

You do not only study global issues. Furthermore, you experience them. You observe newsroom culture in different countries, watch how audiences respond to content, and understand how digital tools influence public debate. Moreover, this constant movement helps you grow more adaptable and confident in a rapidly changing media world.

Who Should Apply for the Mundus Journalism Scholarship

If you are driven by accuracy, fairness, and storytelling, this programme fits you. It suits applicants who follow global issues, ask strong questions, and seek deeper explanations beyond trending headlines.

Most applicants come from fields such as:

  • Journalism
  • Media or communication
  • Political science
  • International relations
  • Related social science subjects

Strong English skills matter, but selectors also value curiosity, open-mindedness, critical thinking, and real commitment to journalism.

Your portfolio can include internships, student media work, freelance articles, community projects, or advocacy efforts. All of these experiences show your potential as a future journalist.
