Role Overview

As a Functional Technician, you will provide comprehensive engineering support to ensure optimal equipment performance and production efficiency. You will implement preventive maintenance strategies while adhering to strict safety and quality protocols. This position demands both technical proficiency and collaborative problem-solving capabilities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Technical Support

Perform mechanical component replacement and troubleshooting
Implement condition-based monitoring and preventive maintenance programs
Isolate and reinstate machinery following established safety procedures
Utilize technical drawings and schematics for equipment diagnostics

Safety & Quality Compliance

Apply all safety and environmental procedures to ensure workplace safety
Identify workplace hazards and implement appropriate control measures
Manage waste and hazardous materials according to environmental standards
Maintain quality procedures to protect brand integrity and product standards

Continuous Improvement & Leadership

Use performance metrics to identify and prioritize equipment improvements
Apply World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles to eliminate breakdowns
Develop team capabilities through effective communication and guidance
Lead problem-solving initiatives using appropriate technical tools

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

Mechanical/Electrical Engineering certification or equivalent qualification
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance
Understanding of engineering principles and equipment maintenance
Proficiency with condition monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques

Technical Competencies:

Ability to repair and maintain industrial machinery and tools
Knowledge of engineering science and technology applications
Equipment design understanding and mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail with thorough work approach
