Job Duties

  • Provide full-time psychiatric care within a standard Monday to Friday clinical schedule.
  • Deliver on-call support as directed by the Medical Director.
  • Provide psychiatric care for child and adolescent patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and psychiatric evaluations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medications while monitoring treatment outcomes.
  • Deliver psychotherapy and counselling services where required.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain clinical documentation, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  • Stay up to date on emerging psychiatric treatments and best practices.
  • Coordinate referrals to other medical specialists when appropriate.

Job Requirements

  • Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing from an approved programme.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted Wyoming Medical License.
  • Eligibility for unrestricted Wyoming Controlled Substance Registration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted Wyoming DEA registration.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Eligibility for medical staff privileges at Campbell County Health.
  • Strong understanding of behavioural health principles and psychiatric practice.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and families.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience providing psychiatric care in child and adolescent populations.
  • Strong expertise in psychotherapy and family consultation.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary behavioural health teams.
  • Comfort working across both inpatient and outpatient environments.
