POSITION: Electrical Technician

Your Mission: Maintain, Repair, and Support
You will lead the maintenance of all electrical installations within our facility while also providing general services support as required. Your work will span routine maintenance, fault finding, installations, and crematorium assistance. Every task you perform directly supports our ability to serve families with dignity and care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Your role combines electrical expertise with operational support. Here is what you will tackle:
Electrical Installations & Maintenance
- You will assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Precision matters in every connection.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment helps you determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. You will keep everything running before problems arise.
- Getting involved in the installation of electrical equipment, even when third party suppliers lead the work, ensures quality and consistency.
Fault Finding & Safety
- Proactive and preventive fault finding on electrical systems allows you to catch issues early. You will not wait for breakdowns.
- Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components helps you identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. Ensuring compliance with codes protects everyone.
- Advising management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous demonstrates your commitment to safety.
Administrative & Cost Management
- Performing administrative tasks such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipment keeps operations organized.
- Repairing or replacing wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools remains a core part of your daily work.
- Providing preliminary cost estimates for materials and services helps with planning and budgeting.
Site & Crematorium Support
- Responsible for safety and housekeeping, you will maintain a clean and hazard free environment.
- Attending to any site related queries as required shows your willingness to support the broader team.
- Assisting with operating cremation equipment following all laid down processes and standards requires both technical skill and emotional intelligence.
- Ensuring the cremation chamber stays in proper working order is essential to our operations.
- Assisting with carrying out cremations as scheduled completes the cycle of your support.
What You Bring to the Role
We are looking for a candidate with the right certifications, experience, and personal qualities. Here is what you need:
Education & Experience
- Appropriate certification in Electrical or Technical Science provides your foundation.
- A minimum of three years of experience as an Electrical Technician demonstrates your practical expertise.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
