POSITION: Sales Officer

Responsibilities

Your primary goal is simple: get Vokia products into more hands every single day. You will work across assigned territories, building relationships and securing orders. Here is a breakdown of what you will do:

Execute Route Based Sales

  • You will hit the road daily, visiting provision shops, open markets, mini marts, wholesalers, and food vendors.
  • Your focus will be on achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales volume targets for our product range.
  • You will ensure our products are always available, visible, and reordered regularly.
  • Monitoring stock levels at each outlet will be second nature to you, preventing costly stock outs.

Expand Our Retail Network

  • You will actively open new retail outlets every single week within your territory.
  • Identifying and onboarding sub-distributors, agents, and bulk buyers will expand our reach.
  • Building strong relationships with key wholesalers and market queens is crucial to your success.
  • You will enforce price compliance and ensure proper product handling across all outlets.

Activate Our Brand in the Market

  • You will support product sampling events and in store promotions to create buzz.
  • Educating retailers and consumers about the benefits and uses of our products will drive demand.
  • Keeping an eye on competitor pricing, promotions, and activities will provide valuable market intelligence.

Maintain Discipline Through Reporting

  • You will submit weekly and monthly sales reports along with outlet coverage data.
  • Collaborating closely with your assigned driver will maximize your daily coverage and efficiency.

What You Need to Succeed

We are looking for someone with drive, experience, and local knowledge. To excel in this role, you will bring the following:

  • FMCG Experience: You have a minimum of 2 years in FMCG sales, ideally within food, spices, or cereals.
  • Market Know How: You possess proven experience selling to open markets and provision stores. You understand the landscape.
  • Negotiation Skills: You can build relationships and close deals with confidence and integrity.
  • Resilience: You are comfortable with daily targets, field pressure, and constant movement. You thrive on the challenge.
  • Independence: You work well without constant supervision and follow structured routes effectively.
  • Local Knowledge: You have a strong understanding of the Greater Accra Region retail landscape. You know the streets and the players.
