Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage on-site data center technicians
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all facility operations and escalations
  • Prioritize daily workloads and coordinate activities across infrastructure teams
  • Oversee rack/stack builds, server installations, and hardware decommissioning
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support for server, storage, and network issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and escalation protocols
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation in ticketing systems
  • Monitor power, cooling, and environmental conditions within the facility

Requirements

  • 8+ years of combined technical and people leadership experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on work in data center, NOC, or infrastructure environments
  • Strong knowledge of server, storage, and networking hardware
  • Basic Linux and Windows command-line familiarity
  • Experience with rack/stack procedures, cabling, power, and cooling best practices
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical installation tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfort working in 24/7 operational environments with shift flexibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
