5000 Canadian Experience Class Candidates Receive ITAs
5000 Canadian Experience Class candidates obtain ITAs. In a recent Express Entry draw, IRCC issued ITAs to 5,000 people. This draw was only open to members of the Canadian Experience Class, in keeping with IRCC’s aim of recognizing bright professionals who are already making a meaningful contribution to the Canadian workforce. To be considered for this round of invites, candidates needed to score at least 510 on the CRS.
To assist the country’s economic development and advancement, the IRCC is focusing on making permanent residency more accessible to persons who have worked in Canada. This most recent drawing is an example of this focus. Choosing 5,000 candidates for the Canadian Experience Class represents a significant step toward attracting more talented workers to Canada.
IRCC Issues 25,125 ITAs for July Express Entry Draws.
The ninth draw of an already busy month for Express Entry takes place today. Throughout July, the IRCC distributed 25,125 ITAs.
This month, program-specific drawings, such as the Provincial Nominee Program and the Canadian Experience Class, alternated with category-based selection draws.
Candidates with French language proficiency got the majority of the 5,000 ITAs awarded in category-based drawings conducted over two rounds. Furthermore, on July 5 and 4, the IRCC granted 3,750 ITAs to candidates in the healthcare field and 1,800 ITAs to candidates in the trade sector.
A significant number of ITAs have also been awarded in program-specific draws. As of July 31, the IRCC had invited 3,275 individuals under the PNP and 11,300 under the Canadian Experience Class. Applicants to both programs commonly hold temporary residence status in Canada and work there. After a year without program-specific draws, they will return on May 30. This aligns with the IRCC’s previously stated intention of hosting more domestic draws.
In March of this year, the IRCC established a new aim to meet its permanent resident targets outlined in the Immigration Levels Plan, as well as to reduce and stabilize the number of temporary residents in Canada.

Understanding Canada’s Express Entry System
The Federal Skilled Worker Program, the CEC, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program are just a few of the well-known economic immigration programs in Canada that use the Express Entry system. This method is critical to the immigration of talented professionals to Canada.
Express Entry is an important method for qualified people who want to immigrate to Canada. It employs the CRS to evaluate applicants based on numerous human capital components. These variables include age, education, occupation, work experience, and language proficiency. Each of these components contributes to the candidate’s overall CRS rating.
The CRS score measures a candidate’s ability to improve Canada’s workforce and demographics using a composite statistic. A better CRS score improves an applicant’s chances of getting an ITA for permanent residency.
Furthermore, Express Entry promises to speed the immigration procedure for highly skilled individuals, with a six-month processing time.
Understanding Category-Based Selection in Express Entry
In May 2023, IRCC implemented category-based selection draws to meet Canada’s existing demand for specific talents and competencies. This conclusion came after thorough consultations with both internal and external stakeholders. Healthcare, STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and contracting, transportation roles, agriculture and agri-food positions, and French-speaking roles are among the categories picked. These criteria will guide the selection process for the remainder of 2024, with potential changes for the following year.
