2025 Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment Alert

Vision 2057 calls for Ghana to strengthen its democracy and diversify its economy. At the same time, the GAF is going through a huge transformation to make its ranks stronger in the face of new threats like cyber warfare, border security, and emergency response.

Former Defense Minister Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah launched the 2025 recruitment drive in July 2025. It is a historic event with an ambitious plan to hire 12,000 new people over the next three and a half years, starting with a group of about 3,000 to 4,000 people.

Continue to monitor Newsnowgh.com for up-to-date information on the 2025 Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment.

Official Statement from Ag. Defense Minister, Brogya Genfi states;

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is undergoing a massive expansion beginning this week. Over the next 3 years, GAF will recruit 12,000 personnel to reinforce our national defence capabilities.

In line with H.E. the President and Commander-in-Chief John Dramani Mahama commitment to affordability, accessibility, and fairness, the cost of the recruitment forms has been reduced by over 40% compared to the last recruitment.

In addition to the huge cut in the cost of recruitment forms, the recruitment will take place across all regions, ensuring equal opportunity and national inclusion.

Let this be clear: Recruitment into the Ghana Armed Forces is NOT for sale—and will NEVER be for sale under our #EagleEyes watch. Any individual or syndicate involved in fraudulent recruitment schemes will be dealt with without mercy.

Take Note that no recruitment will take place on social media. The process will be transparent and professional. All qualified applicants must be medically fit and be prepared to abandon all hope of normal life!

All the application qualification, procedure and regional centers will be announced within the week through the Ministry of Defence Ghana website, Ghana Armed Forces website, selected newspapers and electronic platforms.

We are building a force that reflects the strength, discipline, and unity of Ghana.
