WORK IN THE US AS A SPECIALTY WORKER: A Route To Green Card

December 10th, 2022 at 06:33 am

WORK IN THE US AS A SPECIALTY WORKER:

One of the most common routes to employment in the US is the H1B visa. An employer must submit an application for this visa on the worker’s behalf. Since the visa is only given to specialists, most candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or higher and come from industries like IT, finance, architecture, medical, or science, among others. Y-Axis assists companies in submitting H1B petitions on behalf of their employees. We also assist workers from all over the world in landing jobs with organizations that will likely sponsor them for an H1B visa.

US H1B VISA DETAILS

One of the most difficult visas to obtain is the H1B visa. There is a high demand from US firms seeking for this visa because there is an annual visa cap. It is also one of the greatest visas to seek for employment in the US because it leads to a Green Card.

Successful H1B petitioners are permitted to:

  • Residing and working in the US
  • Keep visiting the US for longer
  • Change jobs while holding an H-1B visa
  • remain in the US with their dependant spouse and children (under 21).

VALIDITY OF THE VISA

The three-year visa validity period can be extended for a total of six years.
Once the validity period is passed, a foreign worker must leave the country or apply for a new visa.
He risks losing his legal status and maybe being deported if he disobeys.

DOCUMENTS NECESSARY

You must receive a minimum of 12 points under the point-based H1B visa system in order for your application to be considered. You must possess:

  • a US bachelor’s or master’s degree (or an equivalent in your country)
  • 12 years of professional experience
  • or a combination of education and experience

Your H1B petition can be created once you receive at least 12 points.

H1B VISA Expense

The current normal H1B filing fee is $460. This price is for the 1-129 petition.

The base filing fee for H1B visas will rise from $460 USD to $555 USD by 21%. From October 2, 2020, the proposed fee increase will be in effect.

The charge may be paid electronically through a bank transfer or in cash at a designated bank with locations throughout India. To make sure the correct amount is paid and the appointment is arranged in a timely manner, create a profile on the US Visa Service website after that and choose the scheduled appointment option.

SPONSORSHIP FOR H1B VISAS

A non-immigrant can be hired by an employer to work in the United States on an H-1B visa. The applicant must possess at least a bachelor’s degree (or the local equivalent) and the job for which they are applying must require the use of specialized skills. There are jobs available in specialized fields like architecture, law, finance, and medicine, among others.
