Why people get bounced when they travel abroad for the first time
Travelling abroad for the first time is one nerve-wracking journey no one wants to face. The thought of not knowing what to expect during the application process and having your visa denied is disheartening. There are many reasons why people get bounced on their first attempt at travelling. Below are some reasons.
1 . Firstly, Submitting false documents
One sure to be bounced is providing false documents. No matter how desperate you want to leave your home country, never forget documents while applying for a visa. Â People normally forget documents like their payslips and bank statement forgetting that embassies run a check to verify its authenticity.
Forging documents gives the image that you are willing to do anything unlawful once you get to their country. Find alternatives if you are not able to meet the requirement.
2 . Secondly, Applying for the wrong visa
There are different requirements for every visa hence, it is important to apply for the right one. Are you travelling for business, leisure or education. Apply for the right one to get your visas approved. First-time travellers are normally not given an extended stay. Questions like your financial status will be asked. This is because the embassies need to know how you are going to fend for yourself.
3 . Purpose of travel
Evert application form asks the question what is the purpose of your travel, it is not something you can avoid. You need to answer in all honesty. Are you travelling for pleasure, business, visiting family or education purpose. Those visiting families are asked to submit a letter on invitation as proof.
4 . Not able to prove your employment status
When you are able to prove you are financially sound and can cater for your expenses. But if you cannot prove your financial status the chances of being rejected is high. You need to prove that you are gainfully employed. If you run your own business, you need to show copies of your business registration documents so you don’t get rejected.
5 . Financial records do not meet the minimum requirements
As a first time traveller, you need to prove that you can support yourself as you embark on your trip. You will have to provide your income and bank statement to prove that you have the minimum amount in your account. Normally, most embassies request your bank statement for the past six months to show you have a steady income.
