This temple dates back to 3600 BC and 700 BC. The Megalithic Temples of Malta are considered to be the oldest free-standing structures. The temple was constructed in several locations across Malta.

Each individual site had its own unique features. However, the temples share a common architecture. The temple’s internal walls were made out of orthostates (a row of large stone slabs). The external walls of the temples were made of coralline limestone.

A material that is significantly harder than the globigerina limestone used in the temple’s internal sections. This is indeed a magnificent building to leave you in awe.
