June 25th, 2020 at 05:56 pm

Ghanaian Misician Wendy Shay of Rufftown records has repented and asked for forgiveness of sin from Jesus and has promised that he is not going to sing secular music again.

The award winning female musician on her Twitter handle tweeted about her forgiveness of sin obviously in reaction to yesterday’s earth tremor that affected some areas in the Greater Accra Region and Central Region around 10:30 pm.

Places like Osu, Ablekuma Manhean, Kaneshie, Achimota, Adenta, Circle, Kokomlemle, Accra New Town, Legon, Dansoman, Kasoa, Haatso, Kwashiman, Teshie, Nungua, McCarthy Hill felt the scary moment. This really caused quite some tension and fear around these regions and neighboring ones.

“Did u guys feel the earth shake ?Pls Jesus forgive me all my sins if you coming tonight..I promise I won’t sing supuu again…” she tweeted.

According to social media users, “supuu” as the musician typed rerefers to secular music meaning that Wendy Shay has given her word to God and indirectly to the public that she won’t do secular music again.

Some fans and social media users commented that the musician is overreacting out of shock while others congratulated her for the bold decision. For some others, it was hard to believe such a swift turn from Wendy Shay. Whether planned or not, whether intentional or unintentional, real or a joke, we anticipate in the days ahead.
