WEATHER WARNING FOR SUNDAY 28/06/2020
A weak rainstorm observed today 28th June 2020 at 09:00GMT over northern borders of Benin
and Togo is expected to move westwards and affect the Upper East, North East and Upper West
regions slight to moderate thunderstorm with rain this morning into the afternoon. The storm is
expected to induce cloudiness over the Northern and Savannah regions.
Areas and surroundings to be affected and estimated time of occurrence below:
Bawku, Nyankpanduri, Gambaga, Chereponi, Zebilla, Garu – (1000 – 1300) GMT
Zebilla, Bongo, Bolgatanga, Chansa, Navrongo, Pwalugu – (1100 – 1400) GMT
Tumu, Funsi, Hellembele, Nandom, Jirapa, Gwolu, Wulugu – (1200 – 1500) GMT
The storm is expected to be accompanied by moderate to strong winds, thunder strikes and
lightening.
A separate rainstorm over the coast of Benin is under monitoring as it seems to be
weakening and stationary; any change in intensity and movement will be duly informed.
However, the coast and middle sectors will continue to be cloudy with occasional slight
rain.
