This position is a first-opinion Veterinary Surgeon role within a well-established practice, working alongside an experienced Lead Vet and a long-standing clinical team. The role is offered on a part-time basis at 20 hours per week across two days, with the option to build to full-time hours when paired with another local Medivet practice. Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality clinical care during consultations and surgical procedures
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, providing regular updates on patient care
Prepare accurate, tailored treatment and care plans with transparent cost estimates
Maintain the highest standards of regulatory, clinical, and operational compliance
Mentor, support, and develop colleagues to enhance team performance
Complete effective clinical handovers and arrange out-of-hours or enhanced patient care when required
Share best clinical practices across the practice and the wider Medivet network

Requirements

RCVS registration as a Veterinary Surgeon
Proven experience delivering exceptional patient and client care
Strong ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team
Demonstrated clinical leadership and mentoring skills
Experience supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures
Understanding of progressive clinical culture and practice efficiency
Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
