ABOUT THE JOB
POSITION: GENERAL MANAGER
A company, with an office location at Darkuman Official Town, Accra; specialized in shipping, installation, and servicing of elevators, escalators, metal fabrications, woodworks, security doors, glazing, interior decorations, and engineering works; is looking for a well-motivated, experienced and competent General Manager to join and lead their team to a brighter future prospect.
Major Responsibilities
- Spearheading the strategic marketing of the company’s products and services.
- Develop strategic plans for optimized productivity.
- Develop processes to improve organizational effectiveness
- Overseeing the operations and productivity of employees.
- Establishing a highly motivated work environment
- Creating innovative approaches for improvement of the company.
- Ensuring the standards of excellence and soaring quality in finished projects.
- Attending meetings with clients on the company’s behalf
- Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.
- Design strategy and set strategic goals for growth.
- Ensure employees are motivated and productive.
- Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals.
- Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives.
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time.
- Develop, implement, and maintain budget and resource allocation plans to optimize expenditure.
- Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
- Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved.
- Respectfully, communicate with staff in an appropriate manner.
- Developing and implementing growth strategies.
- Training of employees and evaluating performance and productivity quarterly.
- Creating and managing budgets to Improve the company’s revenue.
- Analyzing accounting and financial data, following up on the company’s debtors for prompt collection of revenues.
- Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
- Generating monthly, quarterly and annual reports to shareholders of the company. Requirement
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
- A minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience as a General Manager in a similar work environment is a plus.
- Experience in planning and budgeting.
- Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, marketing procurement, operations, etc.)
- Strong analytical ability.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of people.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- BSc/BA in Business, operations, marketing, or relevant field; MSc/MA/MBA is a plus.
