University of Edinburgh: Andrea Levy 2023-2024 Scholarship (£5,000 stipend)

Applications for the Andrea Levy Scholarship 2023-2024 to Study at the University of Edinburgh are now being accepted. Because of a gift from the family of the late Andrea Levy, the University of Edinburgh is able to give scholarships to students of black or Caribbean descent who come from low-income homes.

The Andrea Levy Scholarship was made in 2020 to honor the author Andrea Levy, who has won many awards. Ms. Levy, who was born in London to Jamaican parents, had deep personal and family ties to Edinburgh and to Scotland. As a way to remember her, the University of Edinburgh is proud to offer this scholarship program.

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship will cover:

  • tuition fees
  • a living allowance of £5,000 per year to assist with your costs.

The scholarship is valid for as long as you are enrolled in your program of study, which is normally four years but may be longer. This grant doesn’t affect your chances of getting an Access Edinburgh Scholarship, which you can get at the same time and can be worth anywhere from £1000 to £5000 per year, depending on your situation. This gives you a total of £10,000 to cover your living costs for each year of school.
