In line with its corporate vision and repositioning agenda to become and remain the first-choice rural bank in Northern Ghana and beyond, Bonzali Rural Bank Limited is seeking to engage the services of a Unit Head of Human Resource, Branch Managers, and an Executive Assistant to help achieve its vision.

UNIT HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCE – 1

Responsibilities / Duties:

The responsibilities / duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Develops systems and policies for the administration of HR activities such as recruitment and selection, training and development, rewards, and motivation as well as performance appraisal
  • Performance management and improvement systems – implements the Bank’s overall performance management and improvement systems
  • Carry out staff needs assessment and recommend appropriate training to fill the gap(s) identified
  • Implement the Bank’s human resource planning strategy
  • Identifies and implements strategies to keep staff highly motivated and engaged
  • Develop a training calendar and ensure that implementation is within the approved budget
  • Ensures consistent and effective implementation of the company’s HR Manual
  • Recommend reviews of the HR Manual to ensure that it is up to date with current economic and legal requirements
  • Responds and handles various issues related to staff including staff welfare and complaints
  • Any other duties that may be assigned

Skills/Competencies Required:

  • Good communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Be innovative, proactive and creative
  • Be computer literate in mMicrosoft office word, Eexcel, power point, and access etc
  • Ability to adapt to challenging working environment and work under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.

Qualification Required & Experience

  • The prospective candidate must possess a minimum of a first degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development or any relevant qualification from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in the banking sector of which at least 3 years must be in the management of human resource in a similar position.
  • The prospective candidate must be conversant with all the applicable Labour Legislations in Ghana.
