Job Title: FET/FP&A Analyst, Ghana

Unilever is a global leader with a profound social purpose. Our products reach 3.4 billion people daily in over 190 countries, making a tangible impact on lives and communities. We are driven by the core mission to make sustainable living commonplace, believing that responsible business practices fuel superior performance. Our people are central to this vision; when they work with purpose, we build a better business and a better world.
At Unilever, we champion an inclusive, collaborative, and flexible work culture. We reject a one-size-fits-all approach, providing you with the tools and autonomy to shape your own unique career journey.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting role for a dynamic Finance Analyst to join our Finance Excellence Team (FET) in Ghana. You will bring your professional purpose to life by supporting critical financial planning, analysis, and governance processes. You will work closely with the FET Manager to prepare reports, conduct analysis, and ensure the effectiveness of our financial planning cycles and investment governance. If you are passionate about finance and driving business performance, this role is your perfect match.
Key Responsibilities
Planning, Forecasting & Month-End:
- First, you will work intensively with the quarterly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, enforcing timelines and leading the financial consolidation (“Cash Up”) for assigned markets.
- You will collate and review stakeholder inputs, perform variance analysis, and compile risks and opportunities to support contingency planning.
- A primary duty involves leading the financial forecast submission for Ghana and other East & West Africa (EWA) markets, coordinating with key stakeholders like General Managers and Finance leads.
- Furthermore, you will manage the month-end close process, analyzing actuals versus forecast and ensuring timely, high-quality reporting.
Overhead Management & Performance Review:
- You will centrally manage overheads for the region, maintaining budgeting templates, driving bottom-up forecasts, and reviewing actual performance to hold leaders accountable.
- Additionally, you will own the annual statistical charge calculation for central costs and lead benchmarking to ensure a competitive cost base.
- You will support the FET manager in leading performance review conversations at the EWA Leadership Team (EWALT) level.
Productivity & Reporting:
- A key success factor is landing productivity targets. You will track productivity savings and reduce ad-hoc reporting by developing standardized reports in collaboration with other FET teams.
Experiences & Qualifications
Essential:
- A professional finance qualification such as CA, CIMA, or ACCA is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in operational finance or business partnering, ideally within an FP&A or FET environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Leadership Behaviors:
We seek individuals energized by delivering outstanding results and leading by example. You will possess resilience, a continuous improvement mindset, and a collaborative spirit. You take responsibility for your wellbeing and performance, maintain consumer focus, and use data intelligently to spot issues and opportunities with humility and awareness.
Equality Statement
Unilever is committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and ensure full and fair consideration for everyone, regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or marital or maternity status.
