Underground Senior Mechanic at Golden Star (Wassa) Limited

JOB Purpose：

The purpose of the job is to plan the day-to-day activities, such as giving maintenance and repair tasks, and to help the maintenance team with technical issues.

ACCOUNTABILITIES：

• Give each person on the maintenance team a specific job to do.
• Make sure that the parts given to jobs are used well and that extras are stored in the right way.
• Diagnose, service, repair, and manage mobile equipment
• ake, change, and install the tools needed for underground work.
• Take care of maintenance problems in a timely manner to cut down on downtime and possible production losses
• Lead teams and tell the boss about equipment breaks and problems.
• List of things to check and paperwork from the field
• Do any other tasks connected to this that the Leader gives you.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge：

• At least an HND in mechanical engineering is required.
• Must have worked in the field for at least five years after getting a degree or certificate.
• The MinCom certification will be a plus.
• Hydraulics and simple auto electrics should be known ahead of time.

Skills & Abilities：

• Good speaking and written English communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand diagrams of hydraulic circuits
• High level of teamwork and good interpersonal and planning skills
• dedication and honesty that can be shown
• Compliance with GSR policies and procedures on pre-start checks, “Takes 5,” and other safety and environmental standards
• Show that you know the basics of safety management systems.
• Being able to use CAT, ET, and SIS is a plus.
• Must have a current Ghanaian Class DE Driver’s License (8000 kg or more)
