UK Offers 3,000 Work Visas Through Ballot System ~ Live and Work in UK 2024

UK Offers 3,000 Work Visas Through Ballot System ~ Live and Work in UK 2024

India is granted 3,000 work permits by the UK. Are you a recent graduate from India looking to further your education or career in the UK? A program launched by the UK government may provide up to 3,000 visas for young professionals. For all the information, read this.

The India Young Professionals Scheme, launched by the UK, provides 3,000 visas for Indian professionals via a ballot-based mechanism at no additional cost. The British High Commission in India announced this program, which allows Indian professionals to live, work, or study in the nation for a maximum of two years. It is intended for Indian residents between the ages of 18 and 30.

What’s more?

The £298 visa fee would apply, but there is no cost to use the ballot mechanism. A statement on the website of the UK government states that 3,000 spots for the India Young Professionals Scheme would be available in 2024, with the majority of those opening up on the February ballot.

The ballot in July will open the remaining spots. The initial voting window, which ran from February 20 to February 22, 2024, allowed qualified candidates to continue their professions in the United Kingdom. The British High Commission in India said on X that Indian graduates can cast a ballot to be eligible to apply if they want to live, work, or study in the UK for a maximum of two years.

Recall that to be able to run for office, each eligible candidate must provide specified information per UK government regulations. Additionally, before filing their visa applications, it is advised that they fulfill the financial, educational, and other conditions. Within two weeks of the poll closing, the shortlisted candidates will be contacted by email. They will be selected at random from the ballot.

What you need to know

Successful candidates will have 90 days from the date of the email to submit an online application, pay the visa application fee (which includes the immigration health surcharge), and provide their biometrics, according to the UK Government website.

Don’t worry if you weren’t able to participate in the 2024 Young Professionals Scheme initial ballot. Stay tuned to this space for updates as soon as the next ballot’s specifics are released.

  • Not speaking English as a first language.

  • Apply for a visa again. Make sure you don’t make the same mistakes again or that you have improved your circumstances to match the standards when you reapply.
  • Appeal based on human rights principles.
  • Review the decision in court to contest it. You may take this action if you have good reason to think that there was procedural injustice in the processing of your application file, or that your application was unjustly or unreasonably denied.
