UK Clare Hall Fellowships 2025 at University of Cambridge

Tenable Starting: October 2025

This three-year funded fellowship emphasizes promoting research to comprehend and alleviate types of antisocial behaviour that lead to significant personal and societal issues. Previous fellows have carried out research in areas like criminology and developmental psychology.

Benefits: 

  • Yearly Allowance: £37,233.09 (subject to yearly inflation assessment).
  • Complimentary meals for Fellows.
  • Restricted lodging choices are available for individuals, partners, and families.

Qualifications: 

  • Available to recent PhD graduates or individuals near completing their PhD (thesis submission necessary by the application deadline).
  • Research should correspond with the fellowship’s emphasis on antisocial behaviour and personality disorders.
  • Applicants must not have previously been granted a Research Fellowship at either Oxford or Cambridge.

Extra Details: 

  • Fellows do not have teaching responsibilities and participate in the College Governing Body.
  • Living in Cambridge during Full Term is mandatory, although leave may be granted for research activities.

2. Research Fellowship from the Isaac Newton Trust in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences 

Tenable Starting: October 2025

This fellowship, lasting three years and jointly supported by the Isaac Newton Trust, aids researchers in the fields of arts, humanities, and social sciences.

Benefits: 

  • Yearly Allowance: £37,233.09 (subject to yearly inflation assessment).
  • Complimentary meals for Fellows.
  • Options for lodging are available on a paid rental basis.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Eligible candidates must have completed their post-doctoral research within the last five years in related disciplines.
  • PhD submission is needed by the application deadline.
  • Preference will be given to early-career researchers who have not previously held similar fellowships at Oxford or Cambridge.

Extra Details:

  • Research Fellows may engage in a maximum of four hours of elective instruction each week.
  • Living in Cambridge throughout Full Term is mandatory.

  • Supporting Documents: Three recommendation letters along with a statement from the Head of Department verifying resource availability.
