Job Duties

As a Trade Compliance Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development and execution of the trade compliance program.
  • Assisting with investigations, audits, and disclosures for imports.

  • Conducting trade compliance training sessions for staff.
  • Researching trade rulings and advising clients on classification matters.

  • Developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Liaising with internal departments on regulatory and duty matters.

Job Requirements

To qualify for the Trade Compliance Specialist position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in international trade, focusing on imports.
  • A valid US Customs Broker License is strongly preferred.
  • Direct experience with import compliance regulations is essential.
  • Knowledge of classification, valuation, and import licensing is necessary.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills and proficiency in computer applications, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with Oracle and E2Open Trade Automation is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
