Some if not most NBA players make it to the list of billionaires yearly. It just happens that we talk less about them, as the world is more of football than other sports. Other sports come into recognition in their season of activities. Basketball ball is one such sport. Though it isn’t all over the place as football is, its players are well paid to give them millions of wealth. In today’s article, we will talk about five of the richest NBA players.

1 . MICHAEL JORDAN – $2.2 Billion

He is seen as the greatest player in NBA history. Jordan has turned his basketball acumen into a multi-billion dollar enterprise. The six-time NBA Champion made over $90 million as a player. He makes $130 million a year from Nike, as part of his iconic “Air Jordan” brand.

2 . MAGIC JOHNSON – $600 Million

Johnson made less than $40 million during one of the most dominant playing careers ever. Johnson has used his incredible personal skills and smarts to find a ton of business success. It is said that Magic Johnson Enterprises is worth more than $1 billion. He is part of the ownership group for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Johnson has sold equity in the Lakers, along with a large investment in Starbucks.

Bridgeman averaged 13.6 points per game during his 12-year NBA career. As noted, Bridgeman acquired much of his wealth through owning local Wendys and Chilis, which he sold in 2016. He has since become a bottler for Coca-Cola and bought the magazine, Ebony. The 67-year-old continues to seek new challenges in the business world.

4 . LEBRON JAMES – $500 Million

LeBron entered the NBA at age 18 and has made over $385 million in his career. He is under contract through the 2022-23 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. James has a shoe deal worth over $1 billion with Nike. He collected $30 million from Apple when they purchased Beats by Dre in 2014. A company in which James had a 1% stake. James is estimated to make $100 million when you combine his NBA salary and other endorsements or investments. This means he very well could top this list some time to come.

He played alongside Kobe Bryant in their time reigned and made name for themselves. One of the most dominant big men in the history of the NBA, O’Neal made more than $285 million as a player. He has also been part of endorsements with Burger King, Pepsi, and Reebok, among others.
